Scan Systems Corporation has a world of products for a global industry.

Formed in the 1980s to create products for the pipe and metal industries, Scan Systems has grown from its early days of manufacturing OCTG pipe inspection equipment to offering a large array of products and services. Our team members include executives from the pipe inspection industry, engineers from all disciplines specializing in non-destructive testing, software designers with pipe management experience, and manufacturing technicians who have years of extensive experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Scan Systems Corporation's engineers, experienced in the non-destructive testing field, recognized the need for a better way to introduce artificial flaws into standards for calibrating ultrasonic inspection equipment that would improve quality assurance response.

With that mission, we designed and manufactured the world's first portable EDM unit (electric discharge machine) specifically designed to introduce artificial flaws in metal products. In the late 80's, we received our first patent for our EDM Notch Master unit. Since then, our Notch master product line has become the recognized standard in portable EDM equipment used for manufacturing calibration flaws on both the inside and outside diameters of pipe and as well as UT standards for other metal products.

At the same time, another team within our group was working on two outstanding products for pipe service operations. The results of their efforts are our Tally-Rite Measuring Systems, automated pipe tally equipment that significantly reduces direct labor and human errors, and our TDS (Tubular Data Systems), a PC based computer software system for OCTG inventory management and control within pipe servicing companies.

With our roots being in the pipe inspection business, it's only natural we would have a group of engineers and support staff that develops, manufactures, and support new OCTG pipe inspection equipment and technologies. PITCO (Pipe Inspection Technologies Company) maintains an extensive inventory of replacement parts, supplies, and equipment for our customers' needs. PITCO also maintains a fleet of mobile service vehicles stocked with the latest equipment and manned by the most experienced technicians in the industry. Our technicians are trained and on call 24/7 to service all your inspection equipment, regardless of brand or model.

Our strength over the years has been to recognize operational shortfalls, or antiquated procedures and provide a way to improve them. We offer our services both as a consultant and as a turnkey vendor to design and manufacture software systems and specialized equipment for our customer's unique requirements.
